Scottish Fusee Bracket Clock
A quality late Georgian Regency period Scottish fusee bracket antique clock. A rosewood case with choice veneers. Brass side sound fretwork with silk panels. Lion's head cast side handles. A chamfered pediment surmounted by an acorn finial. A cast brass bezel to the 8" painted dial. A twin fusee mechanism with 5 pillars and shaped plates of 8-day duration. Hourly bell striking with pull repeating cord.
Alexander Milne of Aberdeen is recorded in Whytes 'Scottish Watch and Clockmakers' book as working from 1820-1842.
