An interesting rustic oak bedding box or coffer from the 17th Century. This has had a few repairs over the years as one might expect but it is in quite tidy condition and is still most useable. There is pleanty of patina and bags of character. The inside of the lid has some really interesting clippings stuck on, not least the list of sentances passed down in the 1820s. 1 month jail for a misdemeanour or 7 years deportation for assault and theft on the King's highway. Some might feel we should have a bit more of this these days. We have been in business for 40 years and are now coming up to retirement. We are in consequence looking to reduce our stock, Delivery can be arranged with a specialist carrier for around £70 to most areas.
