Here is an example of a superb quality antique mahogany Regency two door Linen Press cupboard, circa 1790 - 1820. The linen press features two exquisite flame mahogany locking door panels which sit below a beautiful architectural datable pediment. The pediment is adorned with satinwood & ebony floral string inlay. The doors feature a working lock and key. Below, the three oak lined drawers in the base are hand dovetailed and cock beaded – a good sign of quality. The base also features the original Regency oval brass escutcheons and handles and beautiful splayed feet – a sign of good quality. The linen press features its original mahogany detachable sliding linen trays. The linen press also features the original back boards.
This item is an excellent investment but also very practical for storage and would look superb in a variety of rooms from the bedroom, dining room, hall way or the living room. This item base would certainly grace any home. So don't miss out your chance to own a lovely piece of antique furniture.
Condition Report
Both doors close and lock comfortably. All oak lined drawers open freely. The upper section has its original mahogany lined linen slides. The working key operates the doors and drawers. The back, splayed feet and internal slides are all original. The Regency brass swan neck handles and escutcheons are original (which is very rare). There are no splits in the doors (which is common in linen presses). The pediment is detachable. Free of worm-worm, solid in joint and ready to use. Please remember that this item is over 200 years old so there will always be some minor wear.

A 7 day “no quibble” return policy (from the date you receive the item) is available if you are not happy with this item. You will be given a refund excluding the delivery cost as long as the item is returned in the same condition. The buyer is not required to cover the cost of returning the item if the item is returned at the point of delivery. If the item is delivered and left with the customer, a return fee will apply (which is the same cost as the delivery fee). We collect returns using our own specialist furniture delivery company. We do not accept returns via a courier service (due to experience of damaged items in transit). This refund policy only applies to deliveries to the UK.
