Rare 1950s Stratton 'Regency Initial' powder compact.This is such a beauty with the most ornate lid with the initials S W set within this delightful engine turned design. A powder compact from Stratton's luxury range in excellent condition. The inner lid is decorated with the "Compact-in-Hand" logo. Which shows it is fitted with Stratton's patented self-opening inner lid. Tilt the mirror backwards slightly & the inner lid pops open - sixty years old & it still works perfectly. The original mirror stickers in place. The base is decorated with the design Stratton reserved for their luxury range - the "curled feathers". It is very beautiful. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. Measures 3 3/8" X 2 5/8" & weighs 124.5g.
