This is a highly collectible loose powder compact.
A Stratton "Corona" made with Queen Elizabeth's Coronation in mind. The most beautiful enamel lid showing the crown in the finest detail on a midnight blue background. No wonder Stratton were famed for the quality of their enamel. The lid lifts to reveal an excellent mirror which gives a perfect reflection. The original mirror sticker in place. The mirror bezel is signed "STRATTON MADE IN ENGLAND".The Stratton puff, sifter & the velvet pouch are all in excellent condition. The inner lid is decorated with vertical lines & the Compact-in-Hand logo - a mechanism which activates the self-opening inner lid. This mechanism is in perfect working order. All clasps & hinges work perfectly.The base is decorated with a fine spiral. The enamel lid is very beautiful the enamel crown has an even crackle glaze. The background enamel is good. A lovely compact that has been well looked after.
This powder compact measures 3" & weighs 94.3 grams.
