Rare Pin Cushion Doll By Fasold & Stuach, c1930
This piece is absolutely gorgeous, and complete with half doll and pincushion together. The porcelain half doll has wonderful mint green colour dress and cloche hat to match with black accents to hat, collar and wrists. Holding a pink rose in one hand her other rests on the pillow. She is about 5-1/8” (13cm) in height to top of her hat and the widest part of cushion a 5” (12.7cm). On the bottom there is a black stamped GERMANY. Very typical of the makers Fasold and Stauch with attention to detail and exquisitely executed. She is not only rare herself but to also be on such a well preserved and unusual cushion is amazing.
There are no chips or cracks to her, some rubbing off green paint off the bottom of one shoe that is all. Even the cushion is in great condition, just faded from age, no holes or tears. She is an example of 1920’s German superior quality in its figures. These complete pieces in this rarity model and condition genuinely don’t come along often .
