Superb! - a wonderful 1920's example, this is a fabulous book piece by Woodworth - c. 1920, it is "Karess" egg shaped (or arrow head) compact vanity case - with powder compact and rouge compartment and mirror - fully engine turned to the top in a wonderful silvered guilloche pattern, edged in a dark blue enamel Greek key design. Measuring c3" inch long, all clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a clean internal framed mirror, a powder godette is present, some rouge is also present to the smaller rouge compartment at the front - Featured in Roselyn Gerson's Vintage & Vogue Ladies Compacts (2nd ed) - all in all a fine Art Deco piece, very difficult to find in this sort of excellent condition, it is truly a beautiful collectable compact!. Sure to delight the most discerning of collectors!.
