Circa 1860. Quality large mid-Victorian, free-standing burr walnut pedestal desk. The top in a beautifully figured burr walnut with moulded edges and a gilt-tooled pale tan leather writing surface in excellent condition. The front with 3 frieze drawers with unusual original turned knobs and cedar drawer linings (sign of quality), supported on twin pedestals with 3 matching graduated drawers over moulded enclosed plinths.
