A pair of Portuguese M. Mafra, Caldas wall plates featuring a lizard, moth, frog, snake and beetle all within green moss or musgado. The backs bearing the impressed marks of a crown with M.Mafra, Caldas and Portugal. The crown was given to Mafra's workshop in 1870 by Fernando the 2nd. which authorised them advertise as a "Royal Supplier". Size:- Diameter...8.5''/ 21.5cm. Depth...2.75''/ 7cm.
