Vintage Stratton 'Musica' musical powder box

A totally gorgeous enamel Stratton "Musica". A beautiful musical powder box with the original pouch & sifter in very good condition. The enamel is made to look like mother of pearl & it is decorated with musical notes - each note is a rhinestone & all of them are present. All clasps & hinges work perfectly
The musical movement plays very well indeed.
The beautiful enamel lid lifts to reveal a perfect bevelled mirror. The inner lid is signed " Stratton " & has the " Compact-in-Hand " logo signifying this powder box is fitted with a self-opening lid. It works perfectly every time.The winder key is signed " REUGE STE. CROIX PATENT and "SWISS MADE." Both the sifter & pouch are also in very good condition. The base shows the "curled feathers" design used on the most luxurious Stratton vanities. This is an uncommon Stratton & sought-after. It is delightful & to hear the quirky little tune play is relaxing & transports you back to the 1950s!
