Parkinson & Bouts Rarer 10" Dial Fusee Wall Clock
A rarer metal and brass cased English fusee wall antique clock of slim proportions. A cast brass bezel to the narrow brass surround. A smaller 10 " painted dial signed 'PARKINSON & BOUTS, LONDON' with blued steel hands. An 8-day duration timepiece fusee mechanism. Circa 1855.
Parkinson & Bouts are recorded in Loomes' 'Watchmakers and Clockmakers of The World' book as working from 1851-1881. Parkinson was also previously in partnership with noted makers Frodsham. These type of English fusee dial antique clocks are seldom seen and have very pleasing proportions.
Height/Width 11 1/2 " / 29 cms Depth 5 " / 14 cms.
