This is a wonderful original Art Deco watercolour of bathing beauties by artist and illustrator Ernest Prater. The painting depicts three women in a cave about to go swimming in the sea. The painting has a travel poster design feel to it, but can find no record of this image being used in advertising.

Prater spent a lot of time in Newquay and this most likely depicts a Cornish beach. It is beautifully executed and oozes Art Deco appeal.

The painting is watercolour on board and is offered framed and glazed in a modern white wood frame, it is signed and dated lower right by the artist. The painting is 23.5cm x 15.5cm and the frame is 38.5cm x 31cm.

Condition

The condition is good / very good. There is some light spotting around the middle of the image. We have a 14 day return policy. We accept returns if item is not as described or generally you are not happy with the item, buyer to pay return postage. Full refund of purchase price on safe return minus postage costs. This is only available within 14 days of receipt of the item.
