This rare and highly sought after mug was designed by Norman Makinson for the 1951 Festival of Britain, celebrating the centenary of The Great Exhibition of 1851. The images feature Crystal Palace in 1851 and the futuristic Skylon Tower 1951.
This iconic mug, much celebrated as a design classic is hand painted over transfer. It is in perfect and immaculate condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines, crazing, transfer loss or restoration guaranteed.
