A good quality Bristol Georgian lunar moon phase longcase clock. A swan-neck pediment with dentil cornice detailing. Brass capped hood columns, a long trunk door and raised plinth panel with typical Bristol case features. A superb painted dial with lunar moon phases, date and seconds. A rare feature of a strike/silent lever at the edge of the dial. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a bell.

The Nevitt family of clockmakers are well documented in AJ Moores' 'Bristol Clockmakers' book. This example dates to circa 1795-1800.
