This gorgeous little hand held microscope must have been a hugely desirable piece in around the 1820's.
It's lovely little rosewood handle, fine brass head & precision lens make it a fine tool to behold even today.
Crafted with such quality it would surly have been a very sought after little item and used in the hands of skilled botanists & explorers of the time.
