Miniature Chest Of Drawers, Jewellery Chest.
A lovely quality, Regency period, mahogany bow fronted miniature chest of five drawers, this has boxwood and ebony inlay with its original ebonised drawer knobs. It stands on shaped splay feet. This was probably originally made by an apprentice to show off his skills. This little chest would make a perfect antique jewellery box.The condition throughout is excellent and has a fine old waxed finish. Sizes: 11”(28cms) wide, 5 ½ “(14cms) deep, 10”(26cms) high. Date circa 1810.
I have been in the antiques business since 1962, starting in the family business in Staffordshire.
In the early 1970’s I moved to Hertfordshire where I opened my own business and created a limited company.
Today, my business is carried out via the internet. Any successful antiques business, and particularly mine, remains a way of life and a hobby, it continues to give me enormous enjoyment and satisfaction.
I hope this is reflected by my commitment to a very high quality of service which I have always given over the years. I prefer to deliver sold items in person where possible to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
I source my stock through many contacts built up over the years. This continues to consist of carefully chosen high quality 17th 18th and 19th century of furniture, particularly specialising in articles with their own fine original colour and also many interesting smaller items of the same periods.
I am always very happy to answer any questions or queries that you might have, This is part of the service that I am delighted to give.
