A very high quality Oil on Board by the artist Max Hofler 1892-1963.signed lower right.
Hofler lived for a while at Harrow on the Hill, he exhibited from 1938 to 1940 at the Royal Academy, Royal institute of Oil Painters and the Royal institute of painters in watercolours.This picture is a view of the River Wye with cattle in the fore ground and the start of the Black Mountains to the back ground.The whole composition of this painting is quite stunning.
