This vintage powder compact is suitable for use with loose face powder or as a handbag mirror.
A very beautiful Mavco Lucite compact mirror made in the 1940s in excellent condition. The Lucite is made to look like tortoise shell & it is very beautiful. Such an elegant slim line compact. A large & lavishly illustrated historical fact pack free with this purchase. Mavco compacts had a relatively short production run of around six years & so I feel lucky to have found one that is in such good condition. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The original sifter is in place & so this compact can be used with loose face powder. The mirror is excellent & gives a clear and accurate reflection. Images one and two show the lid and four the base.
The measures 4" & weighs 74.8 grams.
