Superb quality mahogany case with brass stringing with the benefit of bow dial and glass. The dial is in original paint and the glass and bezel are also original.
The single fusee movement is in good working order and features very rare passing strike facility. (this means that the clock strikes once on a bell at the passing of every hour.) Made by a Yorkshire maker Thomas Kellett who was known to be making antique clocks in the 1840s.
