This handsome 19th-century mahogany fusee drop dial antique clock is in full working order, striking on a gong with a clear, resonant chime. Its 12-inch dial, adorned with painted Roman numerals, is safeguarded by the original brass bezel with bevelled glass, preserving its elegant presentation.
A hinged door beside the dial grants access to the movement, while another at the base allows for pendulum adjustments, ensuring smooth operation. As with all antique pieces, subtle imperfections add to its unique character, enhancing its warm colouring and remarkable patina.
