Mahogany and Inlay Fusee Bracket Clock (Scotland)

1 of 6
An attractive and good sized bracket antique clock in outstanding original condition. The arched case has a pagoda top with central and corner brass finials, fret sides and quartered brass inset reeded columns with turned capitals. The case has an inlaid satinwood butterfly motif and boxwood stringing. The clock stands on substantial adjustable brass ball feet. It has a 5 inch silvered dial that is engraved by the original Glasgow retailers, R & W Sorley. The heavily engineered chain driven twin fusee movement strikes the hours and halves on a gong. Complete with its original brass key.
