very handsome mahogany longcase grandfather antique clock by Johnston of Alnwick ( Northumberland ) circa 1780.
swan neck pediment hood , brass face with silvered chapter ring, working date dial and subsidiary seconds dials, the figured mahogany case with reeded columns and inlaid shaped door.
the eight day movement strikes the hour on a bell and is in good working order.
normal signs of age but overall this super clock is in very good condition.
