This compact is suitable for use with loose face powder or as a handbag mirror. A pretty 1950s glitter & Lucite powder compact. The lid is beautiful - in the middle Lucite flowers set atop a glitter tin foil background & covered by a Lucite dome - all perfectly gorgeous. The lid lifts to reveal a large clear mirror which gives a perfect reflection. The lid, inner lid & base have complex guilloche designs. The original sifter is present & it is in good order. The whole compact is in very good condition. The tin foil makes this accessory an appropriate tin (10th) wedding anniversary gift. This delightful mid-century powder compact measures almost 3" & weighs 87.5 grams. Free lavishly illustrated history of this piece included.
