This a beautifully made Early Victorian bookcase/ cabinet by Marsden and Banning, Manchester...a pleasing combination of straight lines and gentle curves.
The top with a three quarter gallery over three short glazed doors inclosing adjustable shelves. Set in turn over three sparklingly figured long panelled doors configured as a double and single cupboard. Each door encloses a drawer with military style gilt brass handle and adjustable shelves.All raised on a plain plinth base. Really great hansome storage , possibly for books but could be for drinks and glasses or in fact nearly everything and anything.All in a size that will fit nearly anywhere.
