A French mantel antique clock in a rosewood case. Marquetry floral inlays to the top, case sides and front panel. A sliding glass front to the enamel dial signed 'Leroy a Paris' who are a noted family of clockmakers. An 8-day duration silk suspension mechanism striking the 1/2 hours and hours on a bell also signed Leroy. Circa 1850.
