Fine quality late Regency faded flame mahogany open bookcase of pleasing proportions. The bookcase has mellowed to a beautiful colour over the years. The bookcase consists of 4 doors to the base with columns to the sides which have carved decoration to the tops. The base has 3 cupboards, each with a single shelf to the middle. The doors all have their original locks with working key, the shelves are all original also. The base has a plinth with the original nicely turned feet beneath.

The top section is open with half round flat columns matching the base at the sides of the sections. Each section has 3 fully adjustable shelves which are all original. Nice shape cornice to the top. The back of the upper section is also solid mahogany as it is obviously on view which is a nice sign of quality.

The piece is in very good original condition and is a lovely mellow colour. It splits in two for ease of moving.
