Late Georgian Rockingham Trio circa 1835-40 Georgian Yorkshire
We have for sale one of the most beautiful William IV Yorkshire Rockingham porcelain trios we have ever encountered.

The trio is of a typical Rockingham form consisting of a teacup coffee cup and saucer. The trio is decorated with a really stunning design of a central gilt tree with cornflower blue flowers and cobalt blue leaves all surrounded by a rim decorated with the 6 of the same trees extending from the gilded rim down towards the centre. The back of the saucer carries the puce Rockingham mark and the teacup, coffee cup and saucer each carry the pattern number 1438 on their bases.

The saucer is approximately 5 and 1/2 inches in diameter (14cm) and the cups and saucer are all in a very good to excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or repairs, although the teacup does have some wear to the gilt in three places where the cup has obviously been used for drinking tee. The gilt and decoration on the coffee cup and saucer is near enough unmarked. It seems the original owner of the cup only liked tea.
