Late 18th Cent Moon Dial Long Case Longcase Grandf clock longcase moon dial %%alt5%%
A handsome late 18th Cent longcase clock. The dial is signed for A Brindley of Newcastle upon Tyne. He is listed as working there around 1790. The case is in oak with some very attractive mahogany panels with marquetry decoration.

The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a smart painted dial. It has a subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator. To the arch is a most attractive moon phase indicator with a very well painted moon disc.

The case is in good unrestored condition and is a lovely colour. The movement is in good working order and keeping good time.
