Late 18th Cent Mahogany 8 Day Longcase Clock

An attractive mahogany longcase clock dating from around 1800. It is by James Yardley from Bishops Stortford. He is listed as working there during the late 18th Cent and early 19th Cent.
The case is in very nicely figured mahogany and has smart dentil moulding to the hood and turned columns with brass capitals. The long trunk door has an arched top and has a very decorative figuring.
The 8 day movement strikes the hours on a bell and has a most attractive silvered and gilt brass dial. It has a subsidiary seconds dial and date indicator.
The case is in good condition and a lovely colour. There are the inevitable fine shrinkage cracks to the base but as can be seen from the pictures these are not very prominent. The movement is nice and clean, running well and keeping good time
The maximum dimensions are:
215cm (84.5") high
52cm (20.5") wide
25cm (10") deep
Free local delivery (60mls), national and international delivery arranged at c
