Such a beautiful vintage Marlene powder compact in excellent condition. The lid has the elaborate, highly stylized & luxurious gilt finish we have come to expect from this brand, which are hard to find. The whole piece has the most glorious deep golden patina. All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The mirror gives a good & accurate reflection - slight subtle age mark on the mirror which in no way spoils the enjoyment of this exquisite vanity. The inner lid is satinized which further emphasizes the luxurious appearance of this compact. It is signed 'Marlene MADE IN ENGLAND'. The original sifter is in place & so this compact may still be used with modern loose face powder. The base has a the most gorgeous engine turned design.
This vintage compact mirror measures 3" X 3" & weighs 119.7 grams.
