Large colonial era teak trunk or campaign chest, probably of eastern origin c.1880. In solid teak further strengthened with large brass screws to the top and sides. With original heavy brass carry handles and unusual heart shaped escutcheon and lock plate. Open the chest to reveal two small compartments with superb carved lids, one of which hides a cleverly hidden compartment below. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
