A very attractive large antique continental pine dome topped trunk with original scumbled painted finish. Of a substantial size, it would be ideal as a toy box, blanket box or for general storage. Original carry handles, lock and hinges (with one hinge broken and a replacement along side). It comes with working lock and key. To the interior is a removeable tray and it is lined in a lilac paper. Dating from the 19th Century.
Material/Construction
Pine - Exterior is scumbled with nice patina
Condition Report
Solid condition. Some scuffs to the exterior commensurate with age. Original hinges. One hinge broken and replacement hinge added. Lovely warm patina and age to top. Some old worm holes to the back which have been treated with worm killer as a precaution.
