A substantial oak dial antique clock dating to the mid 19th Century. It has a wide ogee shaped outer bezel, a brass bezel and a traditional pegged case. The 16 inch diameter enamel dial is signed by the makers Swinden and Sons of Birmingham. Due to its size this clock would have been in public building such as a hospital or bank. It has a substantial chain driven fusee movement with stopwork to prevent overwinding. Swinden and Sons were originally clock dial makers in 1835-50, then sold antique clocks until 1880.

Current Condition
The case has been repolished and wax finished, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
