Large Impressive Antique Mahogany Glazed Bookcase
This very impressive antique mahogany bookcase is superb quality & is in good original condition. I would date it to around the 1820's period. The top has a lovely shaped double pediment with fine carvings. The two glazed doors have fine astral glazing & inside are adjustable shelves that slide in & out of grooves. There are brass beadings running up the middle of top & bottom cupboards, which is always a sign of quality. Below the top cupboards are two drawers with brass handles. The bottom cupboards have beaded panels with oval flame mahogany insets in the centres & it sits on bracket feet. This stunning bookcase has loads of character & has lovely proportions. It comes apart into two sections.
