Large French Striking Repeat Carriage Clock c1890


A good quality large French corniche cased striking and repeating brass carriage antique clock circa 1890. Bevelled panels and bevelled oval top window displaying its original, jewelled cylinder platform escapement. Roman numerals and minute ring on a white enamelled face with blued steel hands. A twin-barrel 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours on a coiled gong. Push button repeater striking the nearest hour. Supplied with antique double-ended brass key. Height is 13cm excluding handle (17.5cm with handle), width 9cm and depth 8cm. Excellent time-keeper.
Fully cleaned and serviced but retaining its antique brass patina. The clock's movement is covered by our 12 month warranty in the UK. Viewing by appointment only.
