Large English Antique Oak Tambour Fronted Cabinet.
This is a super quality, Edwardian antique oak cabinet which has spent its life at Idle Congregation Church in Bradford where it housed all the choir stuff!
A great, tambour fronted antique oak cabinet, complete with a brass plaque, 'Presented to The Upper Chapel Choir by F.W.Illingsworth Esquire - to commemorate many happy years as secretary and his fathers long association as chorister and choir master from 1851, March 4th - 1924'.
In very good, clean and fully working condition, the top tambour front rises to show a sectional, shelved storage area, the shelves can slide out.
The tambour in the bottom, lowers to expose a single storage shelf.
In the middle of this antique oak cabinet are two oak writing trays, these slide in and out.
The sides of this cupboard are panelled and the overall oak colour is even and lovely.
An unusually, large Edwardian antique oak, tambour fronted cabinet which provides lots of storage, perfect for a home office, library or study.
Now in Miles Griffiths antiques showrooms in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
