Large Decorative Brass Zanzibar Trunk with Drawers

This chest is in fact a mule Chest as it has 2 drawers at the bottom decorated with brass studs and fretwork and the brass hasp can be secured by adding you own clasp
Chests like this were often used in the export of spices, rugs, and silks from the Spice Islands to the West
The chest has brass carrying handles and a large candle compartment inside
The chest is 17” high, 42” long and 17” wide
