Unusually large walnut and gilt bijouterie or display top table c.1930. Slim display top (internal height 9cm) with a glazed top, front, and sides and moulded walnut frame. The top lifts on brass hinges and can be held open with quality brass locking stays. Pale gray lining fabric to the base. Carved and gilded detail to the corners and a the lower edge. Raised on turned, tapering and fluted legs with further carved and gilded detail and turned feet. Joined with spectacular curving stretchers with gilded beed moulded edges and a lovely carved and gilded laurel leaf boss at the centre. Excellent condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
