Large Bell Striking Four Glass Mantel Clock

A substantial French four glass mantel antique clock, with a visible escapement made by Achille Brocot (1817-1878).
It has four thick bevel edge glass panels with a heavy polished brass case. The movement has a two piece enamel dial with a agate jewelled visible escapement that was invented and patented by Brocot. The 8 day movement has a mercury filled two jar pendulum and a strikes the hours and halves on a bell. It is stamped AB , the Achille Brocot logo.
Current Condition
The case has been polished and lacquered so it will not tarnish, the movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. If you would like a video clip of this antique clock striking and ticking please email us.
