Large 4 Glass Crystal Regulator Clock
This is a very fine French made four glass crystal table regulator antique clock manufactured dating from the last half of the 19th century which is in lovely condition.
? ? The 8 day duration striking movement strikes the hours and half hours on a bell. However the movement is larger than usual and will actually run the clock for two weeks having being designed to provide extra power so its normal 8 days to run faultlessly.
This is much larger than what is seen normally being approximately 18 1/4 inches high 10 inches wide and 7 inches deep.
The overall condition is truly superb having been professionally restored by a member of the worshipful company of clockmakers . The movement is working perfectly . The only aspect worth noting is a very small casting/manufacturing fault on one side at the rear (illustrated ) but otherwise the condition is as close to perfect as you will find.
The 6 3/4 inch white porcelain dial is in perfect order and is highlighted by the earlier form of Brocot visible escapement with jewelled pallets . Fine time regulation is also available from the front.
This clock is relatively easy to set up as the beat setting is self adjusting.
This style of clock is very popular as its simplistic design suits modern tastes very well although it is very uncommon to find an example this large in size.
Although I provide detailed photographs to the best of my ability this clock really needs to be personally viewed to appreciate to quality.
This is a genuine and original clock and I offer a full money back guarantee to this end.
