Superb large 19th.c. mahogany silver chest, c.1840. Ideal size for a coffee table with great storage space, likely originally intended for the safe storage and transport of valuables, it is very robustly constructed of solid boards with brass bindings. Retaining the original heavy carry handles and very large hinges, as well as the internal baize lining. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
