Splendid large 19th.c. dinner gong c.1870. 16″ diameter heavy brass gong with hammered surface and good tone and sustain. Hung on a superb circular moulded oak frame with acorn finial raised on a turned column and carved tripod feet. Excellent condition, sold together with a large clapper with leather head.
