Antique oak thirty hour longcase clock by Thomas Whipp of Rochdale. A typical Lancashire antique clock but with an attractive mahogany crossbanded swan neck pediment. The brass dial is nicely engraved with a pair of peacocks, foliage and a masted boat at sea. The cast spandrells have a central cherub. The lower case has a long shaped door set either side with quarter cut moulded corners in mahogany. Although we don't guarantee antique clocks this piece hasn't stopped since we bought it.
