This was modelled on a Crimean War (1853-1856) Jack Tar (Sailor)so I have been told.

The head and shoulders are removable to reveal a chamber for tobacco.

For it's age and use it is very good condition. There are a few bangs and chips (see photographs) on his collar and on the base
