A high quality English convex dial wall antique clock. An oak case with concave and convex moulded edging. A convex painted dial with 'heart' blued steel hands. An unusual 8-day plus mechanism of high quality with rise and fall pendulum adjustment signed to frontplate 'J JOYCE NEWBURY'. An original set of 3 keys including the rise and fall adjuster in between X11.
John Joyce of Newbury worked from 1833-1866 as recorded in 'Loomes Clockmakers and Watchmakers of The World' book.
