A fine quality carriage antique clock by noted maker Joseph Soldano. An elegant gorge variation case with canted case corners and fluted side columns. An 8-day duration mechanism striking the hours and 1/2 hours on a gong. Push button repeating. An enamel dial with 'moon' blued steel hands. The original escapement of high quality signed Soldano to the underneath. Marked JS to the back plate. Numbered 5012. Circa 1890.
