This is a beautiful oil on board by the Victorian British artist James Syer (fl. 1867-1878).

James Syer was a coastal painter who exhibited mainly at Suffolk Street but also at the Royal Academy 1872-3. He was the son of John Syer, a landscape artist who also exhibited at the Royal Academy.

The painting measures 26cms by 38 cms overall including the frame. This is in excellent condition and very attractively framed.
