Hinged Mirror Top Dressing Table
Lovely quality French "coiffeuse" dressing table with very useful hinged top mirror and good storage.
Ideal for placing in a window or also if you want to "free stand" the dressing table as it is finished on all sides and you can close the mirror down when you like.
Made in walnut and kingwood, finished with brass capped feet and stands on fine tapering legs.
The three top sections open and close well, a very little shape to the lids as you can see from the photo, but this really is just a couple of millimetres.
Internally, as you can see, I have left the vintage embroidered silk lining. This is worn, but adds to the character and history of the piece, although can be removed if you would prefer.
The centre drawer has an additional slide to give you more surface and there is also a drawer to the right.
The left hand side is a "faux" drawer and gives you double depth storage space instead.
Fine piece, very decorative and functional, good kneehole area for a typical chair or stool to sit on.
