Rare ART DECO HINGECO compact antique rouge compact duo romantic gifts crinoline lady 1930s

A rare authentic Art Deco Hingeco compact. The lid is decorated with deep green enamel (no enamel loss) & it has a central satinized panel on which a silhouette of a lady & gentleman are shown dancing. Such a stylish compact with a geometric shape & sloping 'shoulders'. The whole compact is in excellent condition & the lid lifts to reveal a gleaming interior & an excellent mirror. The compact is a double compact with two inner lids. The first compartment (image three) half the size of the second which is typical for this era - the amount of rouge being half the amount of face powder required. The second powder well & the whole underside are shiny & clean too. The powder well is signed 'DISTRIBUTED BY HINGECO VANITIES INC. PROVIDENCE, R.I. U.S.A.' All clasps & hinges work perfectly. The base has a design which is made to appear hammered.

This rare antique compact measures 6.5 cm & weighs 56.5 grams.
