TITLE: The Red Roofs of Old Whitby

Painter in watercolour of river scenes and cottages, who was working at the turn of the century. He is listed in the trade directories for Sussex in the 1890s, when he was living at Midhurst. In 1912 he held a joint exhibition at the Dudley Gallery, London, with his son John who was showing illustrations for Treasure Island.
